Spinning Babies® for comfort in pregnancy and ease in birth

With Spinning Babies® we believe that fetal positions are not random, that babies fit the space available. Yet, thinking of the size of the baby or the pelvis is not enough. Birth anatomy can be flexible. Both the uterus and the pelvis have more available room when the muscles and other soft tissues are balanced.

For who & when to join best

Spinning Babies® is for every pregnant women and her partner!

  • The Parent class is designed for you both, with many partner practices to use during pregnancy and birth.

  • Yoga based on Daily Essentials from Spinning Babies is addressing moms-to-be.

  • Ideally we would love to see you after your first trimester - there are some partner practices that are safest to start after week 14

  • The earlier you join, the more time you give yourself to take full benefits from Daily Essential practices that create more space for your baby, bring alignment and balance in your body, and prepare your body and your baby for birth. We share it during Partner class, and you can continue by joining yoga classes based on Spinning Babies

  • But even if you find out about the workshop late in your third trimester it's worthwhile to join! Two thirds of the Parent Class is designed to equip you with tools for labor itself:

    • what to do when baby needs some help to rotate into the birthing path,

    • which position is best if your little one is a stargazer,

    • which practices to use for pain relief,

    • how to create most space in your pelvis at different stage of labor,

    • which will result in bringing progress and more!

What to expect from a Spinning Babies® Parent Class

  • Spinning Babies Techniques to bring comfort now and ease in birth

  • Daily Essential Activities 

  • Learn how to balance tight birth muscles to let baby into position now

  • Birth Positions that open the pelvis that let the baby come through more easily

  • Bring your birth partner to learn how to help you in pregnancy for comfort in labor and birth

The Spinning Babies® Parent Class highlights your baby’s active role during childbirth — while you dilate they rotate! Babies turn through the pelvis to be born. Tight muscles or poorly chosen birth positions can make labor longer or hurt more. Partners love learning the why and how of helping birth be easier. 

 

This class will help you and your birth partner do the techniques and try birth positions to help birth be less painful and more empowering. Learn techniques to help muscles in your pelvis support an easier birth. During labor, the baby turns through three levels of the pelvis. Together, you and your birth partner can use these techniques before and during labor to help “make room for baby!” Spinning Babies reveals how the baby can find optimal positions for labor and allows birth to be more comfortable.

This class is for expectant parents only. Professionals are invited in the Spinning Babies® Workshop.

What to expect from a Spinning Babies® Daily Essentials Yoga Class

Some of the topics we cover:

  • Activities that bring comfort to your pregnancy and prepare you for an easier childbirth.

  • Activities that lengthen muscles and increase range of motion in your pregnant body to make space for baby’s best birth position.

  • How to gain a fuller range of motion on your own

Why try to restore years of a tight hip on the day of labor? Improve your range of motion day by day for comfort now and ease in birth later.

Why wait? Improving body balance improves physiologic function – even birth! Balance in tone and alignment may increase your chance of an easier birth and better sleep while you are pregnant. 

A yoga class based on Spinning Babies® Daily Essentials can be done by all healthy women. It could be done by itself fully, or you could pick single activities to plan into your day. All practices are accessible, and designed to bring more comfort in your pregnancy, make more space for your baby, and eventually bring more ease during birth.

Kasia is a wonderful resource for mom’s to be! I have really enjoyed her yoga classes during both my pregnancies.

 

My second baby was breach at 34 weeks and using her Spinning Babies expertise she showed me some exercises that helped encourage the baby to go head down and provide me with some much needed comfort!! Sure enough, at my next midwife appointment they confirmed that the baby had moved into a head down position on its own.
