Depending on where you are in your 'Yogic trimesters' of pregnancy, private classes would focus on different elements, e.g. - relaxation, - breathing techniques, - strengthening muscles that support the growing baby, - responding to postural changes. - bringing awareness of pelvic floor muscles that will become birthing muscles, - releasing and learning how to let go, - managing possible minor ailments, - preparing for birth (that includes birthing breath, as well as birthing positions, and techniques that are handy for labor).. In the private session I will give you guidance on the most beneficial yoga practice during pregnancy: - poses that help with common pregnancy pains, - poses that help your baby to position himself into the most optimal position for birth, - and poses that are a great help during labor. We will also look at your current practice to find the necessary adjustments for pregnancy. Note: - The length of each class is 60 minutes, unless discussed differently - Preferred location of the class is at your own home - this way we can see how to use home space for incorporating yoga practice in your daily activities. We can also discuss alternative locations, e.g. my Home Office in Amsterdam. Please send a request if needed. - It is possible to arrange for a private class with a group.
